Two Mitchell’s tow trucks were set on fire in the early morning of September 25, along with six other vehicles parked on the company’s property in North Vancouver. One of the trucks, which is often used to answer calls on the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge, was destroyed. The other truck can no longer be used on the road and is kept for training purposes.

Owner Mitchell Martin said dashcam video from one of the trucks showed a man in the locked compound just before 2:20 a.m. that day. He was seen throwing a Molotov cocktail through the driver’s seat window of a truck, which caught fire.

He was dressed in black, carried a black backpack with a red bottle in the side pocket, and wore a blue surgical mask.

Martin urges anyone with information identifying the suspect to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or online at resolvecrime.ca.
