JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – For many people, a winter storm is a time to hide in your home and wait for the cold temperatures to go away.

This is not the case for Double D towing and recovery.

For them, a winter storm is a day to help those in the area who get off the roads or can’t start their car. Either way, co-owner Daniel Soule says his crew is ready for anything.

“We remain prepared for any given situation that we have to encounter in this sector,” Soule said. “I mean all the trucks come with everything we need, winches, chains and straps, things like that.”

He said when this kind of storm and these temperatures arrive, it’s best for everyone to try to stay indoors if they can.

“I mean the best thing is to stay home, if possible,” Soule said. “There are going to be a lot of people going out anyway because they have things to do and I don’t know if it’s safe.”

He added that on days like Thursday, he is so thankful for his amazing employees.

He said employees get up at all hours of the night to help anyone they can.

“These guys really go above and beyond to do a great job of helping people go through their day,” Soule said. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of workers at all.”

Soule pointed out that on Friday and throughout the weekend his crews are expecting a high volume of calls as many people will think the roads are clear when in reality they will still be treacherous.
